    Adjusting thermostat
    undefinedundefinedundefinedHow do I adjust the thermostat? To control the difference of when it kicks on and off. It's a Honeywell round thermostat.

    If it is one of the old mercury tilt ones, I am not sure there is an adjustment. If you want smaller swings of temperature, you have to go with one of the newer solid state ones.

    Well, I returned the Honeywell RTH230B thermostat and upgraded to RTH7400 and had the same problem, yet I figured out the problem. I was connecting the wires for a conventional heating/ac and not one with a heat pump. Thanks again for all your help!

    Thermostat
    There is a control on the bottom of the thermostat. Once you remove the cover. All you have to do is slide the control until you have it set for your needs.
