    Quadratic Formula Equation
    Can you hel pme solve this equation using the quadratic formula:

    5X^2-2X+8=0

    You can do it yourself by following the following:

    Solutions of ax^2 + bx + c = 0

    are [-b + (b^2 - 4ac)^1/2]/2a and [-b - (b^2 - 4ac)^1/2]/2a

    I think your confusion may arise because both roots are complex numbers.

    So remember that the square root of a negative number is imaginary, e.g.

    (100)^-1/2 = I (100)^1/2 = 10 I

    where I = square root of (-1)
