    First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread in the appropriate forum.

    Try checking newspapers for the area you are looking in. For example, my local paper runs articles about a selected neighborhood in the Home buying section. Check to see if the town has a website. Try searching for crime stats in the area. Check realtors web sites.

    There are lots of resources but you will need to dig to find them.
