    The system reboot automatically
    The system reboot automatically when it runs in the window envirnoment, it has no problem when it runs in DOS mode. Therefore, I formatted the drive, and try to install win 2000 all over again on the system, the system has no problem when it runs in DOS mode, but when the system runs the welcome page of win 2000, and then it automatically reboot, every time when the system at this stage, the system will reboot automatically. How to fix this problem, please leave me message, thks.

    It could be bad ram. Dos can run fine with bad ram but Windows will flake out.

    Run this http://www.memtest86.com/ overnight and see what happens.

    If you have 2 memory chips, switch memory chip positions and run it again.

    If that is OK, check to see if Windows installed with ACPI support. If so, it could be your BIOS doesn't support ACPI propery. You can search Microsoft knowledgbase and it has articles about forcing a standard bios option install.

    You might try changing settings in the bios... that might work. Change one setting at a time and write down what the original setting was.

    Note: If you have ACPI enable/disable option in the bios, you can't disable it if Windows 2000 is already installed with that option.

    The easiest way to force Windows 2000 into standard bios mode is to install it. When it gets to the screen that says "Press F6 if you need to install a third-party SCSI or RAID driver" at the bottom of the screen, press F7.
