Craftsman mower stopped moving but blade engagement still works and mower starts
Can someone help me determine why my craftsman kohler engine 16hp manuel transmission riding lawnmower stopped being able to move but still is able to turn on/off and engage the mower blade? I have checked the clutch but it appears to work since the mower is able to be turned on/off. All of the noticeable belts are still intact. Help!

Inspect and see if the belt has jumped off the transaxle pulley.

Check for a worn belt or broken belt tensioner that would be my guess unless the tranny is busted.

The Craftsman that I used to use would throw the belt at least once every time I used it. It would come off the pulley on the transaxle.

    mower_man,

The mower I was talking about is an older one that I used to use. I don't have it any more.

OK,the problem could have ben a streched belt.
