Need to get out of debt!
I am so nervous. I have a lot of debt and I don't want to have to file bk. Especially now that laws have changed it makes it more difficult. I am usually a very responsible perosn and I hate the fact of pushing my financial responsibilities onto other people, but due to some perosnal situations I am not sure I can handle it by myself. What are my other options for getting out of debt? If anyone has suggestions I am open to them. Thank you

There are so many options to bankruptcy you can't count them, however, because the new bankruptcy law becomes effective October 17, 2005 you should at least talk to a bankruptcy lawyer about your options. Most lawyers offer free consults.

That's true. I should talk to a lawyer. Thank you for responding. I guess I wa avoiding the whole lawyer thing, because that would make it a real problem you know? So I read that link you had and I saw that it said that you are required now to you use bankruptcy counseling. I searched a little and I found this http://mybankruptcycounseling.com I found some good info there. I think I might contact them also to see what I can do. I hope I can get out of this as painless as possible.
