What is the setback or clearance for a septic tank in Butte County CA? And for a propane tank placement?

Normally the septic tank placement ( or even permit to have one) is done by the county inspector, They will come out and do a soil test, they will decide where the septic goes, how many feet of field line has to be used and so on.

Google up the Butte County Health department for required distances from house and water supplys/ponds. Each county varies due to grade slope and soil conditions. Locating a tank near a house should take inspection and future pump-out access needs into consideration. As an example, nearby Nevada Co, 15 ft is minimum for septic, and 25ft for LP away from house. Call County planning and gas supplier and they will tell you. Nm
