Dear everyone,

I constantly make asian food for my neighbours, coworkers, friends and I give them my own dishes(plastic microwavebale). I enjoy cooking very much.:P

I have lost SO MANY OF my dishes, the loss is fine but I CONSTANTLY make food for others, I need available dishes ALL THE TIME.

How do I address the returning of my dishes to them?

I started to tell them "I would like to have my dishes back." It's kind of too straight:o not the best way is it?but what else can I say?

Politely remind your generosity by stating, "These dishes are refillable, only if you know they are also returnable." Subtle as you are...

Yes, I tried that " If you'd like it to be refilled, you better give it back to me,hahaha"(including the laughter that's what I said to them), is that proper?

When you make food for your co-workers, you could casually say "just leave the plate on my desk when you're done."

Or when you make food, do like I do and put it on a Chinet platter. Chinet is a good brand of paper plates, really thick, and if you get the platter size you can fit a lot of food on them. :)

When you make food for your co-workers, you could casually say "just leave the plate on my desk when you're done."

The thing is that I make a whole lot, enough for their family member so they usually take it home sharing with their family. That's why I make a lot too, so they can all share. Seem that they completely forget after taking it home.

I think the best thing you can do is go paper. That way you don't have to worry about losing dishes. :)

My food needs to be stored in fridge, the paper ones usually don't have a cover, do they?:confused:

No they don't, but I do believe that you can get disposable plates that are either paper or plastic (dont remember which one) that snap together, so you can put food on one plate and use another plate as a lid.

Cha is the correct way of saying tea. U GOT IT! :)Most people say CHAI, that's actually wrong...

Lol, that's just the display online, the actual food is not as perfect as those but they are close. It's really fun to make them.;)

Oooh, what lucky co workers and neighbors you have, hope they appreciate you. There are some very inexpensive plastic storage containers, think glad makes them. I know what you mean about losing dishes, my grown kids are always absconding with mine.

Use 3/4 inch wide white tape and print your name on strips that you affix to the lid and to the container. I usually got my pans and dishes and containers back when I did this. Some strips are still on my pans and containers since 1973.
