No I'm still at the old place... I leave here on the 21st, and start the new one on the 25th. Im stressed because they won't hire someone to replace me and no one wants to take up my work... im thinking of just levaing my cube exactly as it is on the 21, and letting them mess with it. I tried... lol..

Wow, I am sitting here studying how fertilization occurs and found the most interesting online movie. It is actually amazing.
The show through a microscope EVERYTHING from ejaculation to ovulation and conception. It's REAL, OMG real I tell you. This is too cool.
Now I am going to to watch what happens during the first two weeks after conception. I mean I have seen this before, but never quite this real!
If any of you want to check it out, here is the link.

No, it's not animated at all. Well, only 5 or 10 seconds has been animated.
I'm off to watch the next portion called "The Embryo Takes Shape"
It is utterly fascinating!!

Oh, just wait!!
Just know you have something to look forward to this afternoon. I can't stress enough how fascinating it is. Here I was studying fetal circulation and how the fetal heart works before, during, and after birth, and I got caught up in this film.
It's so coooool!!

J_9 if you like stuff like that have you seen this yet?
Studio Daily Video Player
It's the inner workings of the cell, a slightly smaller scale than the other films so it is CGI but it's fantastic, play it with the sound on because the soundtrack is really good too, fits perfectly.

I think it is amazing how the foetal heart goes through all the stages of evolution of the heart running through the fish, frog then turtle like appearances. That's where the congenital hole in the heart derives from is it not? Isn't it wear the heart doesn't seal up properly to become the familiar four chambers?
I love that animation, brings what is usually a very abstract subject to life

Actually the fetal heart flows opposite of ours until negative pressure occurs during birth. That is when the foramen ovale closes to become the ligamentum venosum.
If the foramen oval does not close completely then we have the congenital anomalies. I can't get too deep into that yet. That lecture is on Wednesday I believe, or possibly next Monday.
