I've been stuck at work ALL DAY trying to think of the name of this movie. It came on HBO/Cinemax about 8-12 years ago all the time. It was about a man who somehow (I think his spaceship crashed) ended up on a strange planet. He finds an alien there who takes him in and befriends him. After a while the alien, which I think we were led to believe was a man turns out to be pregnant and has a baby. The alien dies and the human raises the alien baby.. that's pretty much all I can remember about the movie. Would LOVE to know the name of it.

Seems to ring a bell... was it "Enemy Mine" with Denis Quaid?
