There are diet pills that work and there some that doesn't and just give you side effects :( I have tried a lot... there are some diet pills that even give me rushes while there are some that dries up my skin but there are some that really work very well :D... so I think all you have to do is know the content of the product and know the side effects before taking them...

I have tried herbalife ( too expensive )
I have tried goodliness ( chinese and gave me rushed )
I am now taking ballerina :D

Do not take any diet pills if you have a medical condition. That is no joke. As a doctor, I would suggest you to have your ECG taken before you try any. Most contain amphetamines which are appetite suppresants however, they do cause palpitations, tremors & sometimes, cardiac arrest. Like Bangkok pills for example. These are amphetamines ( the pills you take at daytime) together with Vitamin C ( which can acidify the urine & lessen the amphetamine levels in the body). I have tried them myself & they do work as weight reducer. I dropped 2 lbs/day. The problem was I experienced flushing of the face, palpitations, insomnia, nausea & dryness of the throat. Its not worth it. Think before you try these diet pills. That is my advice

Hello there! As someone who has tried almost anything in the world of beauty & fitness, I will tell you about bangkok pills. Do you know that there are 3 kinds of bangkok pills? Guess you don't. The lightest colors is supposed to be aimed for those who want to lose 5 lbs or less. The next would be for less than 20lbs & the darkest ones (with chocolate colored pills) for those 40lbs overweight. I started with the lightest colored ones. Nothing happened, I guess as far as weight loss was concerned though I did experience dryness of my throat &some palpitations. I lost like 2lbs for a month which is in my opinion, no good value for your money as these cost about 70 US dollars, right? So, I went to the extreme & bought the very dark ones. True enough, you lose lbs in a day but the symptoms you feel are just not worth it. I feel like I was hanging on for dear life. I joined my aerobics class & couldn't breathe after less than 10 minutes of warm ups. I never finished my pills & just consumed 5 days worth. So, if you are SERIOUSLY considering bangkok pills, think again.

I think that by following a good diet program, anyone can loose weight in a healthy and natural style. There are services like FitDay or LifeStyleScanner.com and others... who can really guide you to really customize your plan and turn into the right direction.
Pills have always side effects no matter what other people say. Just my 2 cents...

    Pills
I've tried diet pills , I got them from a clinic where I live. They were expensive & did work . I had rapid weightloss. BUT I put 5 stone back on the next year with out even over eating!! I went to my doctor with the tablets & he went mad... said I have really put some strain on my heart & body.

He has now given me reductil tablets... and they are working fab. The weight is coming off slow , but its given the chance to change the way I veiw food & eat more healthy. They make me feel food is not the only thing in the world !

I've now started to be more active, without even trying, simply because I have more energy... gone are the days I come home from work & lay on the sofa eating all night !

My doctor monitors my progress & I go and see him every 2 weeks. He checks my blood pressure and stuff... too make sure I'm doing fine

    Hope this information helps you
    And good luck

    Xenical & Reductil
Xenical & Reductil are expensive & weight loss is very slow. However, I think they are the safest. The problem I had with them most especially with Xenical is that when you fart, some oily discharges go out of your & they smell like the SMELLIEST of all ! Its just GROSS.Period.

I still consider that you should avoid the pills and control your weight using a normal healthy diet.

Have you tried a natural method until now ?
@ab-solute: I think that any pill should be avoided. Try the natural way people. :)

    Goodliness
    Hi guys,

How about goodliness capsules? Here are the main components:

Lotus leaf, ginseng, mulberry, cassia seed and winter melon peel.

I have actually tried this before although I didn't take it religiously. But I did lose some weight, the effects of the pills on me was I sometimes felt thirsty so the tendency was to drink lots of water. It didn't made me lose my appetite, only suppressed it so I still ate normal meals. No rashes, LBM, palpitations, whatsoever...

Do you think this has bad effects on the kidneys?

    Doubt
After reviewing the other posts made by this poster, it appears they are not actually wanting to ask but are trying to advertise this site.

I do hope all the negative responses about these items do more harm than they appear to hope will happen by posting this in a form of a question.

I am sorry if I am wrong, but the "question" appears over a period as an answer to someone else with about the same info.

Best weight loss, doctors recommendation with proper diet and exercise.

YES. The problem with these pills is that they did not undergo tests for safety. So, it sounds like it is all natural, right?WRONG. Not everything that has leaves, flowers, herbs are actually good for you. Why? Because the real components of these leaves are UNKNOWN. Some diet pills contain thyroid hormones that have bad effects on the heart. Others have a laxative effect which is not good for the lining of your intestines. And still others produce kidney stones. Take your pick. There is no doubt that they do work. I have seen people lose weight with them. However, are the pounds shed worth your life? I draw the line.

OK thanks for the reply! I guess I'll just have to stick with minimizing carbo intake during dinner and substituting green tea and water for sodas and coffee :)

Fat burners also called lipo tropics are supposed to help decrease the amount of fat stored in the liver, and if they work would cause more fat to leave the liver, and allow the liver to work better, as well as possible removing fat from the body through the use of calories, and an increase in internal organs caloric usage, as well as reduce the "fatty liver" problem that some have.

My opinion is this... if there was a weight loss pill on the market that REALLY worked and caused NO harmful side effects, there would not be so many over weight people out there. Ephedra worked.. and caused death, hence why it is no longer on the market. Weight loss is simple eat right and exercise.. burn more than you take in.build lean muscle to increase your metabolism and help burn more calories.

I can vouch for reductil though only if monitored by a specialist i.e. doctor or those authorised to distribute the drug. You need to have your blood pressure monitored every two weeks I combined this with healthy eating & exercising & lost a lot of weight & quickly. The key is to exercise - no getting around it sorry guys. The weight stayed off even when I finished with the drug. If you don't like taking drugs then try something called Organic Vision Detox - the turbo one. It's a nine day detox using all natural products & the turbo version allows busy people to carry on with their lives as the side effects of the detox are reduced with the herbs they give you - no break outs, nausea, tiredness etc & I even exercised during it no problem. Im not sure if it available in the States but check out the website & find out: www.ov9day.com Though I still stress there is only one way to loose weight & keep it off all the above do is give you a head start & that is to change the way you eat & EXERCISE!
