True your opinion, but I think the reason that passage in the bible makes people think "omg gays are icky" is because you (christians) take one word or passage and turn it upside down and side ways and pull it so far from the meaning it grows into something not even true. No one kno's what some of thee texts mean truly... only the persons who wrote in and guess what... they dead.

I am not religious at all but you being gay isn't a bad thing you don't really have a choice in wheather or not you like the same gender as yourself. Besides don't worry what other people will think you are your own person and if you are confident in yourself you will feel so much better. Also who cares what people think, right.

If this were true then EVERYONE would go to Hell and NO ONE would go to Heaven... because EVERYONE sins except for Jesus Christ. So if all sinners go to Hell, then is Jesus all alone up there? Does everyone go to Hell except for Him?

The answer is no. Therefore, all sinners do not go to Hell, only ones that don't believe Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior.

Just thought I'd clear that up.

I don't no much about being a catholic because my family is not active, but I hope god sends people to heaven based on how good a person they are. I know some catholics/christians who are really bad people, but they believe in jesus christ being a part of god. I don't think those people deserver a better chance.

If you didn't believe... and then decide to receive him as your Lord and Savior, of course He will forgive you. He'll forgive you if you ask for it.

But if you don't believe, then why would you be worried about going to Heaven or Hell? Because if there is no God and no Jesus, then there is no Heaven and no Hell.

Hi I live in Oz I don't see a lot shows that say about gay Someone in my family are gay Actuly its 2 ones a girl & they are both chisrtain & they are open about it and there minster says they won't go 2 hell but in some place that is true what they think of gays. :cool: :)

You can choose to be gay or you can choose to be straight. Also God doesnt hate sinners or gay people........its what they do that he hates... Theres is a difference. If u read the bible ( new testament) Jesus came to save sinners, He ate and dinned with them.
God loves you and He is willing to help you through the struggles u have about your Identity. He says He who seeks (looks out for ) him will surely find Him.........................

AND if there truly is a god, why would he eternally damn on of "his children" to hell for liking someone?

In past times, there was actually no such thing as straight, bi, and gay.
Everyone just liked who they liked.
How we became a race of people who discriminate others based on sexual preferences, I don't know, but it really bothers me.

And if ANYONE ever gives you about going to hell for this, just ask them "Give me proof that there IS a hell, and then we'll talk."

It doesn't mean you are gay, it means you have sexual curiousity. It's the equivalent to the people who like pain as pleasure, or just good old fashioned porn. It's a fetish not a sexual orientation.

sGt HarDKorE, I think you have been through a few things that have made you question yourself. I also think that your at the age its okay to be curious about the world around you, and as you've seen by the many different posts, everyone has an opinion they think is right, and that's what they believe and follow. You have a lot to learn about yourself, and the world so do as all young people do and learn. No one can tell you who or what you are, and the best thing about choices (yes you have that) is you can chose to be whatever you want, or live the way you want. Just I would say go slow, and don't jump into anything you don't feel is right for you, and let no one define who you are, but you. As your ideas and thoughts become more solid, as you know yourself, then your path will be clear. If it helps look around you, and see if there is a male figure who you can talk to, whom you trust and look up to, and see if he can give you answers, or directions, for the path you seek, and don't be afraid of what others may throw at you, because God made you from love, and no one can take that from you, no matter what book they throw at you. Very glad you have come here, and hope you stay.
