Help me get rid of http://any-find.com/index.htm
I keep setting up my web brower to open up at msn.com But every time that I do, it keeps opening to http://any-find.com/index.htm I've used Spy Bot, and Ad aware and cannot get rid of what ever is causing this.

Does anyone have a solution? Many thanks.

Try to search this entry in registry and edit it there to make it msn.com

    Thank you.

Now I find that four items that ended up in "Favorites" in my browser keeps returning even when I delete them. Since I am a novice when it comes to computers, I do not know how to permantly eliminate them. Any suggestions?

    G'day

IF your not currently up to date with you security patches and don't have a virus detection and Spybot program currently running, this is part of the problem.

If you have SpyBot S&D run it, if it picks up a bot called DSO Eploit, it is a security hole in IE which allows web pages to automatically execute(run) code(bots & or virus) without any notifications. You wouldn't know. So on that note go to DSO exploit & or DSO Eploit fix, and follow the instruction on removal.

Also try reinstalling your IE, first below it away(uninstall it and all of its components all cache and cookies) then reinstall it. I take your using IE 6, if your not you should be.

    Hope this is helpful
    Regards

Help me get rid of http://any-find.com/index.h
Apparently, the latest update of AdAware will get rid of this for you. You can download the free version at:

    http://www.lavasoft.de/

If the standard scan does not do it for you, follow the instructions in the LAST post of this thread. (It is a super long post, but the answer by Sigma on 6/15/04 11:26pm is the one you want)

    http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index...54&hl=any-find

This is a particularly sticky spyware. If you still have problems, let us know.

    I hope that this helps.
