I took one small hit of weed about 2 weeks ago and have a hair follicle test coming up in the next 2 months. Will I fail?

You should fall below the limits if you do not add to what you have done. Abstinence is the best sure way to prepare for a hair follicle test you know is coming and not drive yourself crazy with fear and stress of failure. Be it for work, or probation, there are allowable limits that are set, but the law and employers can take any detection as a reason to test further, and be more comprehensive.

Never give them a reason to look closer. The consequences are just not worth the small thrill a few tokes gives you is it?

I hate to say it, but most likely, yes.
How far back did they specify that they will look? If they didn't don't ask it will only raise suspicion. But two months is not a lot of time, most employers in my area go back at least 6 months...

A hair drug test is meant to show consistent use over time. A 1.5 inch sample of hair, cut at the scalp line, will go back 90 days. Employers don't want to pay for a 6 month test so they usually only do a 90 day test. It's approximately double the cost to do a 6 month test. I am 99% certain if you don't smoke any more weed you should have no problem passing a hair drug test.

Its for court and one that goes back 90 days. It says that the cutt off limit is 1pg/mg and that's pretty low that's why I'm so scared. Has anyone actually experienced my problem?

1 picogram is the normal cutoff for a hair drug test for THC. Still one puff of marijuana should not show up. I would be "floored" if you came up positive.

It's only a problem when you use drugs knowing you will be tested and your freedom depends on passing. There is no stress, or fear involved when you know you will pass no matter how low the limits are. Make a decision for yourself to be properly prepared for a test, and it's a PIECE OF CAKE.

Thanks everybody. Im a recovering drug addict and made a really stupid choice and it is really stressing me out. As soon as I did it I regreted it for real. I really just hope I pass and believe me I've learned my lesson.
