    24v Transformer
I am trying to find a good source for a 24v transformer. I am working on a project that will use a digital home thermostat to control a couple of 24v relays. I've found all of the parts but a suitable, cheap, 24v thransformer. I thought this would be the easiest part to find but it is turning out to be the hardest!! :P

    24v Transformer
To assist you I will need more information. Will the output be AC or DC? What is the amperage required? Is it a transformer you require or would a plug in adapter work better? Get back to me and I'll answer ASAP. Regards, Tom

    Re: 24v Transformer
Try Radio Shack. They used to have ones labeled 25.2 volts, which should be close enough given that your incoming voltage fluxuates. For any sensitive DC circuits you need a voltage regulator.

I would think most HVAC supplies would have them too, unless they all come built in to the furnace controls.

Doorbell transformers which you can find at any hardware store or lowes/home depot are 24v 20va($12).. If you need a larger amp transformer any hvac supplier carries 24v 40va($20). Good luck and I hope this helps.
