    Custodial parent
I have been divorced for 12 yrs and have a 17 yr old daughter. She has been in my custody for all her life. Her father has never properly supervised her on weekend visits and she has gotten herself involved with an acquaintance of his who is 35 yrs old. In addition due to a complete lack of supervision she has experimented with drugs, alcohol and sex while in her fathers home unsupervised. The man I live with for the last 5 yrs yelled at her recently and it became an ugly scene. The father filed for custody and told me it was only temporary - it wasn't. He now has custody. I am devastated and since she knows there are no rules at her father's house, she is again involved with this 35 yr old man. Her father has also failed to address her dental needs for the past 2 1/2 yrs despite my pleading with him to do so. I am afraid for her well being. What can I do?

What you should have done when the father filed for custody, hire an attorney and fight it.
Where were you when he filed, did you even appear in court to try to fight it?? You hire an attorney and file for custody back.

Hire a private investigator and go to court armed with evidence of parental negligence, drugs, alcohol, his private life, the child-molester your daughter's been kissing. Bring a good attorney. Maybe Fr Chuck'll pay for the attorney.
