    Need Help Growing Hair Faster
Does anyone know what I can do to help grow my hair faster?

I decided to let someone "MY AUNT" perm my hair and it fell out. My hair use to be down the middle of my back now its to my shoulders. It's really short, I just want my hair back.

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO HELP MY HAIR GROW FASTER?

Sorry, bad news is that you can't change how fast your hair grows, but the good news is that if you live where the weather is getting warmer for the summer your hair may grow a bit more then it would in the winter since the warmer weather can help accelerate hair growth. Good luck and many deep conditioners. One question though, did your hair break off from the perm or did you cut it to get the dead stuff off? I'm a hairstylist and would like to know

I'm sorry to hear about your hair problem. You should never attempt to perm your hair by yourself, or let someone else with no experience do it for you. It is best to go to the salon and have it done professionally because you run the risk of losing hair and damaging your hair shaft. Remember that these are chemicals, and chemicals can irritate or burn the scalp. You can also end up losing clumps of hair, especially if your hair is chemically processed prior to getting a perm. Your aunt probably wrapped the perm rods too tight, or left the solution on too long. If perming solution is left on too long, it will cause the hair to fall out.

I agree with the other answers. There's not much you can do to make your hair grow faster. Your hair will grow back, just give it some time. In the meantime, you might want to think about using a deep conditioning treatment once a week.

    Hi tracie,
Now I'm not an expert on anything but I did have somewhat of a situation a couple years ago. And I did find this shampoo called 'Mane & Tail'
They call it a horse shampoo but it's made for us. It's sold in wal-mart or other pharmicies. It worked for me. It makes your hair grow out strong and long. I used it off and on for 2 years. I had a boy cut, right up to my ears. It was aweful, but in 2 years it grew out passed my shoulders.

And I have heard everywhere that if you cut off damaged hair ends, your hair will grow out faster.
    Hope I helped a little.
    Take care

I know that there's a lot of advertisements from companies claiming that their products will promote hair growth. Despite all the advertisements, shampoos, hair oil remedies, ointments and superstitions will not make your hair grow faster. The average growth rate is one half inch per month. However, there's a medication called "Minoxidil" that has been clinically proven to help grow hair, but it doesn't work for everyone. Another thing that has proved to be helpful is any form of scalp stimulation. By massaging the scalp, increased blood flow causes moderate hair re growth. Tracie, be patient, your hair will gradually grow back. Try massaging your scalp as you shampoo and condition, and do some deep conditioning treatments.

Why all bearers of bad news. I know a remedy which makes hair grow faster... :D

Hair grows with the blood circulation to the scalp, like every other part of your body, no blood no growth, I have used a product called dr miracles intene dry hair growing condition and shampoo from a local hair store, aroun £4.95. What it does is intendifys the treatment on your scalp, making your scalp tingle, which make the blood circulate a lot faster, the same applies if you paid for a weekly indian head massage, the faster the blood circulates the faster your hair will grow. I must admit I love this product!;)

My hair was always the same length for years, a little past my shoulders. My sister told me to comb or brush my hair everyday and it will start to grow. So I started to comb my hair while I blow dried them. I use one of those big spaced shower combs and let me tell you it worked. Now my hair is almost at the bottom of my back. Trust me this does work but it takes a little time. Good luck :D

TAKE BIOTIN!! I have taken biotin for years on and off and know for a fact when I take it my hair grows a lot faster!! Here is an article I found on it. Good luck I really hope your hair grows back fast! :)

    Biotin Consumption

For those hoping to grow their hair longer, faster, biotin has served as a vitamin supplement used in the quest for maximized hair growth. Biotin is a B-complex vitamin that can be found in both supplement and food form. Biotin deficiencies are associated with hair loss. Food sources with the most significant amounts of biotin include nuts (especially peanuts and almonds), egg yolks, soybeans and fish. Other sources include whole-wheat bread, cheddar cheese, pork, avocado, raspberries and cauliflower. These foods also are associated with other beneficial vitamins for hair growth, including vitamins A and B6.

Biotin is vital to cell proliferation, which is why it is a valuable tool in hair growth. When ingested, biotin reacts with cell enzymes and plays a vital part in producing amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein. Hair itself consists of keratin, which is a form of protein. Therefore, consuming foods that contain biotin helps to contribute to hair growth.

Hi! You are what you eat (consume) and drink. Nothing seemed to work for me until I tried these vitamins that also contain minerals and MSM. Try and drink half your weight in ounces of water every day.. . But most importantly make sure that both your liver and kidneys are in balance. Go to a health store and ask. I wish you much success!

There is no miracle product that can make your hair grow faster, but...
You can stimulate hair growth by massaging your scalp in the shower while you have conditioner in your hair. When you get a massage it increases the bloodflow in the area focused on. The nutrients from bloodflow will help stimulate your hair follicles, but do get a professional conditoner to massage into that scalp :) You may not see the difference in hair growth, but you sure can give it a try!
