How many times did it take for you to pass a road test? (U.S.)
    Hi,
I'm doing a project for my Statistics class, and I need 20-30 pieces of data.

I just need you to tell me:
    -Age passed road test
-How many times before you passed

    Thanks everyone!

Also I want honesty, and no one criticizing others posts (how many times it took them etc).

Again thanks for anyone's input, it really helps!

Driving test at 16, passed first time (1963). Didn't have to go to DMV; it was part of our free driver ed course in high school in CT.
Motorcycle test at I think 19. Possibly later, because it wasn't required when I started driving one? State was MA. All I had to do was drive a small figure 8 in the street. It was a narrow street, so I think that was proof of some skill, if not all the safety stuff.

My son got his license at age 16, on the second try.

But that was a combination of my and his fault. MD had started a requirement for a three point turn (for reversing direction) which neither of us knew about (probably didn't read the paperwork closely enough). He could have done it OK on the first try I think, but didn't know from that term what they wanted him to do.
