    Ice maker won't eject
I have a freezer-mounted Whirlpool icemaker(Part #4317943). It was new 4 months ago and, for the past 4 months, has been working normally. Now, what seems to be happening is that it fills normally, but the ice is not being pushed out,

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

    Ice
    Hi,
Can you hear the motor running trying to push out the ice?
If not, the motor could be "burned out". If you can hear the motor running, then it's possible a small cogwheel has stripped its "gears" or cogs.
It should still be under warranty.
You could also try "defrosting" the ice in the container, by pouring warm water over it, loosening it. The ice, for whatever reason, could be completely sturck to the ice containers.
    Best of luck,
    fredg

Ice maker won't produce [ 1 Answers ]
