    Been gone
Hi all. Sorry I haven't been around at all in the past 3-4 months. I completely destroyed my home and rebuilt it. It was built in 1918 and was in really rough shape, so I demolished it and rebuilt everything above the foundation. I'm no construction expert, but I've certainly learned quite a bit in the task. Not sure how much I'll be participating here for a little bit, I need to get back to work doing normal wage earning things... but I'll be around a whole lot more than I have been. It wasn't you guys and gals, I just didn't have a pot to... wait... an internet connection. :D

Now that's one way to redecorate.
    Good to see you back.

    Load Bearing Walls:
They should not be removed without a properly engineered method of support--typically a system of beams--to replace them during and after removal.

Welcome back!! I'm hopefully doing something similar to that myself soon. We're buying a house and remodeling it at the end of June... Glad to see your back.
