Entering into a relationship is like buying a pair of shoes!!



There are loads to chose from, all different colours and sizes.

You find a pair that you think will fit, you try them on, there perfect, you couldn't be happier.

But you find that the shoes do not fit like you hoped they would. There not perfect after all and do not make you happy.

So you put them back on the shelf and look for another pair.

But remember that the shoes you left behind will fit another perfectly.

I completely agree Mrs Myagi,

That is dating and would be far easier. I tried this when I was younger but I much prefer a serious relationship because it has more to offer by it's very nature. I don't know, perhaps it's a personal preferance...

I just wish it was not soooooooo painful when it ends up going pete tong (so to speak)

Another point is that I don't feel I can give all of myself in a dating situation. I think sometimes I wonder what peoples expectations are and try to represent as best I can what they want to see and then let the full Geoff into their view once they know me better. Same with most people I become acquainted too actually... hmmmmm, maybe I am learning something here..

His name is now used in rhyming slang;

Val, dropping the 'H' isn't UK wide.
It's mostly from London and the Home Counties (the ones surrounding London).
Basically they are a bunch of lazy, shandy drinking, southern jessies.

Pete Tong is a DJ, but the saying is really just used in some places to say that things have all gone messed up. :)
