Books: what's your favorite one? Which one do you recommend?
I haven't picked up a book in a long time, and would really like to start reading again. I went to the library yesterday afternoon and found myself a little lost trying to pick out a book. I ended up with "The Bad Mother's Handbook" by Kate Long. It wasn't very good...

I like books that keep me on edge! So whether it's sad, scary, romantic or funny, let me know so I can jot it down and read it!

    Thanks!

I tend to read a lot Fantasy and Sci-fi as any list I come up with will show. :)

Wen Spencer's Tinker (Tinker, book 1) by Wen Spencer and its sequel Wolf Who Rules (Tinker, book 2) by Wen Spencer are good reads.

    Jim Butcher's Dresden Files.

Patricia C. Wrede's Enchanted Forest series and her Lyra books.

Mike Resnick has a lot of good books. Too many to list.

David Weber's Path of the Fury by David Weber (I haven't read the extened version In Fury Born, yet.)

The list will get longer. :D

I like Hester Browne's books. Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series is also a fun read. If you're looking for a more serious book, Sarah's Key is great.

Gregory Maguire has some really good books, my favorites are Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister and Wicked (the Wicked musical is based off this book). The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown are fairly fast paced and will keep you wanting to see what comes next, Angel's and Demons was pretty good too.

    James Patterson... Kiss The Girls.
Nora Roberts.. Carolina Moon. The scariest book I have ever read was "Salems Lot" Stephen King.

Go back to the dusty shelves, Muddy. Anything you find by Erma Bombeck or Will Rogers will be worth the hunt.
