    Found this in DC apt, sitting on a laundered shirt.

    No, I cant, but was eating my lunch at the time your pic came up and thank god the resolution was poor. I hope odinn our expert can help with it.

    It looks like it's a dog tick. Only concern is if it's burrowing into you.

    Names vary. In Michigan it's called a wood tick. In Carolina it's called a dog tick. It's one of the more common North American ticks, Dermacentor variabilis.

    Here's what the University of Florida has to say:
