You take your Lhasa to the vet where they do a pregnancy test. =) She would need pre-natal checkups anyway.

Dogs go into heat about every six months (this varies from dog to dog), so how long is "a while?" Does she seem uncomfortable with you touching her tummy? The fact that she smells bad is a red flag, and you should look into that. If she has a pelvic infection she could have smelly discharge and a swollen tummy.

If she's been around male dogs unsupervised while she was in heat, she's probably pregnant.

The first answer is factually correct. What it doesn't mention that it is unacceptable not to give your dog proper care. If you haven't done the extensive research that must be done to breed quality dogs, you should have had her spayed. There is no excuse. Don't try to say you didn't know that. If you can't afford to spay/neuter your pet, you can't afford to have a pet. After all, the taxpayers can't afford to gather up and kill all the surplus pets irresponsible people allow to breed.
