    Heat pump blowing cold air.
    What causes the heat pump to blow cold air? Our entire unit is out side and it is electric.

    Blowing cold are is usually a symptom of the heat pump compressor not operating. You should have some emergency heat in that unit. I suggest you set the thermostat to emergency and call for service.
