    File your tax return. If some one else is also using same SS number, IRS will contact you.

    Social security told me I was flagged as having income.. they checked into I for me and said someone recently cashed 8 savings bonds with my ss #

    Unless you report this issue to the IRS, they will expect you to file a tax return to pay taxes on the interest.

    Let's not assume; maybe she doesn't have to file taxes.
    But this question was answered a few days ago. The specific 'who do I find out who it was' wasn't. You can't find out who did it, at least not by asking. It could be someone who picked the numbers at random, and probably was.
