The bare min is 10 feet wide. 12 feet is obviously better. An asphalt spreader is 10 feet or 12 feet wide for driveways.

A parking lot now a days are based on 9x 16 feet.

A "standard" size is relative since many driveways gates are cut in factory to fit your measurements or on site.

Leaking gate valve [ 6 Answers ]

I have an 11/4" brass gate valve on the outlet of our boiler that is leaking on the top. Not out of the stuffing box, but just below out of a seam. What are the chances that there is some sort of sealant that I can put on there to stop the drip? Thanks in advance for your help! Bill

I backed into a 15 foot metal gate with wood fencing on the outside. The gate bowed about 2 inches. If I push it from the other angle will it straighten? Any other suggestions? It is made of two inch bars that were welded in place. Thanks for any help
