    Neck pain
    A few months ago, I as to what I should do about my neck pain. Since then I've gone to a physical therapist (twice a week) and though the pain has lessened and the muscles loosened, there still pain present. I'm thinking of telling my doctor to refer me to an orthpedic surgeon. Can you guys please tell me what else I can do about my pain? Thanks

    What did you do to injure your neck?

    PT can take months and months to relieve a problem. Has your PTherapist told you that you are not making any progress? I would hold off surgery as a last resort.

    If you aren't making any progress with the P.T. perhaps you should try a referral to a Neurologist. They may want you to get an MRI.

    If you have pain turning your head from side to side, you may have a herniated cervical disc. That can be degenerative so, it doesn't have to be caused by an injury.
