There should be only one comma in that sentence. Hmmmmmmmm, which one is correct?

Well actually, if the "and text talk" was an interjection, it would be grammatically correct. And I realize that I'm grasping at straws, but come on, SOMEBODY's got to be on Tal's side =D

    My version is meaner.

    People really hate my version.

Probably because I'm telling them that they're acting like children in an adult forum, really.

I think part of the problem is that they *are* children and texting is their world outside of here. With the advent of more and more web-enabled portable devices we can sadly expect more text-talk not less. <sigh>

I really have to wonder how the kids are getting a passing grade in school. Not only is it text talk, many can't even spell a word correctly anymore. I'm not saying all kids/teens are like this, but there sure are a good majority of them, I've noticed. It's too bad.

Also, apparently the use of capital letters, puntuation, and paragraphs have gone out the window too! I guess they are used to "spell check." Is there any such thing as translate this into English so I can read it, check? LOL!
