My landlord sold his house to three Muslims which is not a problem but someone
Is suggesting that since it's a corner house and really big, he thinks they will be
Building a mosque here and are very unhappy. How can you tell in advance if
Someone is planning to build a mosque?

Check with the local zoning board. There may be zoning or building requirements for using a property as a house of worship.

While there may be issues with traffic, what objections does he have for having a mosque? Would he have the same objections for a synagogue or church?

A mosque would be fine around here because this is one of the most
Diversified neighborhoods. I'm only one of ten whites living here...
Most are Caribbean, a small population of Muslims, two Yeshevas
And an increasing amount of Chinese people... the problem is, the
Houses are attached... the ideal would be to take a place where
They are not going to have construction... banging, drilling, cranes,
    etc. right next door.

Again this is where the zoning board comes in.

You can't tell unless they file for a permit. You can assume anything or think what could happen but until they ask for rezoning or a permit, nothing will happen.

What if they were repairing and remodeling which might require banging, drilling and cranes? That would be okay right?

In most areas there are rules as to what times of day construction can take place, heck there are rules as what time of day trash can be collected.

But a religious building will require some specific zoning.
