Thought about sex? Of course you have... who hasn't? Know what you'll do when the moment arrives?
How much do you really know about sex, relationships, and teen pregnancy? How will you avoid getting pregnant or getting someone else pregnant?
Hi teens. This isn't a question but some information. Today, May 7, is recognized as the National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy. To recognize this day, I want all the teens who frequent this site with questions about sex, dating, and all that other good stuff to visit this site:
How do you Stay Teen? | Stay Teen.
At this site there is a quiz.. a quiz I want all of you to take. This quiz should give you a good idea about how prepared you are for sex and how much you know about it. You are given real life situations and you pick the response that would be closest to your own.
There is plenty of information about sex and protection. You can find information on how to protect yourself under the "get informed" tab at the top.
For information about sex, go to the "What's your relationship reality" tab (also at the top). This section also contains info on what a healthy relationship. It also talks about dating, breaking up, waiting to have sex, self confidence, and the future.
This is a day that all teens should really put a lot of thought into. So many teens these days are getting pregnant.. and I'm absolutely not condemning pregnant teens, but I really feel that there is a lot of misinterpreted information that teens receive which leads to teen pregnancy. Hopefully, this site can help you make a good decision about how prepared you really are for sex and all the possible consequences that come with it.
And before you say, "What does this girl know? She's probably 50.. she doesn't know anything about what it's like to be a teenager anymore and what high school is like now.." I want you all to know that I still know what it's like to be a teenager. I'm only 20. I know that all teens are curious about sex. It's all the hormones and the stories you hear, the shows you watch on TV, the music you listen to... sex is all around you and you really can't escape from being curious because of that.
As a young adult, I see the website as a positive thing that all of you should look at. I'm not saying that you have to remain abstinent, that's a personal decision. However, I do want you all to be informed on what to do when it comes to protection. I also want you all to really check out all the site has to say about relationships.. Maybe this site will answer some of those burning questions you have about relationships and really how prepared you are for one.
For all teens who read this, I really appreciate it and thank you for your time. Enjoy the site, be safe, and keep informed =)
