    Honda Civic CODE 15
I have honda civic 92, My car will die every morning when check engine light comes up every day. It can be start it again by reseated fuse for ECU (15 amp) within 5 minutes time frame, I check the error code, it has code 41 and 15, I changed the oxgen sensor but the sympton still there. During the summer time, it did not happen every day but when the weather is getting cold and wet then it start again every day. I can get it started by reseated the fuse , sometimes reseat the spark plug wire. Any one has any suggestion

Code 41 means problems with Oxygen Sensor Heater. I have no knowledge of that.

Code 15 means there's a problem with ignition output. Manual suggest replacing the igniter unit. However, I would try borrowing an igniter unit from someone who has one and doesn't need it for a while. Put it in, use it a few days and see if your error disappears. If it does, but yourself a new one and return the borrowed one :)

Did you ever find out the solution to your problem? From what I understand from error code 15 is that it could be the distributor, the ecu or the connections in between them.

For a Code 15, replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM).

Your 100% sure? Do you think it could be a bad ecu? My distributor was just replaced so I believe it is not that.

jeif, the problem may be that you didn't install a genuine Honda distributor. Over 50% of new aftermarket distributors for Hondas, installed by AMHD members, have not worked out of the box. Of those aftermarket Honda distributors that initially worked, many did not last long. I have never seen a Code 15 be anything but a bad ICM. It's not likely an ECM-related problem.

I only recommend buying a Honda distributor housing and, to save money, installing an aftermarket ICM and coil. Aftermarket ICMs and coils have been fine. Apparently, the problem is with the aftermarket internal distributor sensors (CKP, TDC, and CYL) .
