Can someone help me with a Job Resume?
    Hello,
I am a 15 year old female, I will be 16 the beginning of September. At 16 I will be able to work without a permit so it will be a little bit easier to get a job I enjoy. I understand that I am at the bottom of the highering pile but I do have Job experience. I have worked in two fast food restraunts(One was almost for a year and no I was not fired) and volunteered at the memorial cup delivering game stats and such to the media. I was wondering if someone on AMHD could help me write out my resume, I have checked online and such, but I want an original one of a kind resume that makes an employer take a double look. Can anyone help me?

All right, at the moment my resume is kind of bland.. I'll copy it..

    OBJECTIVE
High school student who is looking for part-time job. I would like to work with people as I am very people orientated.

    Cell- (555) 555-5555

I've edited out some information (names, addresses, phone numbers, etc) but you still can get the point. It is boring :( I haven't updated my other job on there yet (I still work there until I find a better job that doesn't make me want to pull out my hair and come home and beat my pillow every single day!)

I'm almost 100% sure I am a great working, at both jobs I have had I got a 50 cent raise in my first 2 months, I was/am making more than people who have been there for 3 years. I was NEVER late, and I have never called in sick (No matter how ill I was, I stuck through it). At both reviews I have had I have had nothing but good feedback.

Omit the Objective. It doesn't say anything. Today's resumes don't use an objective. ("Orientated" means "faced the east." You must mean "oriented.")
    OBJECTIVE
High school student who is looking for part-time job. I would like to work with people as I am very people orientated.

I would put this at the bottom of the resume, most recent first.
    EDUCATION
    School #1 2007-2008
    School #2 2008-2010
    School #3 2010– Present

I'll find you some better Qualifications. These are boring.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    Enjoys math
    People orientated
    Organized
    Easy going
    Team player
    Punctual and reliable

Only one job? No other community/volunteer/church/babysitting/dog walking jobs?
    WORK EXPERIENCE
Job #1 title, company, location, March 2009-January 2010

Keeping work areas clean and efficient
Helping customers choose and receive their product
    Receiving money and distributing change

You need a little more info about this. Location? Time period?
    VOLUNTEER WORK
    Memorial Cup 2010

Passed information including games stats, player information, and game information from person to person

No references are to be put on the resume. Write up a separate page for them. You need three.

I've had a few babysitting jobs, I can only think of one worth putting down, the others were a one or two time thing.

Yes, babysitting would be good. You don't have to list the names of the families. Do you remember the time? How many families and kids were there?

A few of the skills sounds like me :). Just a quick question, it's over a month away from when I turn 16.. Should I hand in resumes now? Or should I wait until I am 16?

Will waiting change anything on your resume? I bet not, so I'd start now.

qualifications = abilities, including personal attributes, that qualify you for the job

I thought I answered that already. Skills are what you learn = typing, math, computer, hockey. Abilities = you can type 72 wpm, do math in your head and it's always correct, understand and use software programs such as Word or Excel, be a good scorer or defender in hockey. Or you can reverse the definitions: I'm able to type but am skilled enough with it that I can type 72 wpm. I'd put skills and abilities together.

    Hobbies are skills and abilities.

I'd add it under Education if it's a school team. Otherwise, tell me where you play hockey, and I will figure out where to put it.

There are a bunch of misspelled words. For Skills and Abilities, you need a measurable amount of something, like 72 wpm, and you need to say which computer programs you can use effectively. Otherwise, they are Qualifications if they are just general information about you. "I" is understood, so make sure any verb goes with "I".
