Check for a blown fuse within the furnace.
3 amp on the control board , might have blown while changing wires
-
Need a little more info,
Is the aux heat gas oil or electric,
Also is there an outdoor thermostat?
Did the installer explain the opperations and test all the functions?
-
Please read the owners manual and our faq,
There is a light on the control board that will direct you to the problem.
-
Sure lots of options.
For example a Google search shows this one
Thermostats - Line Voltage Thermostat - Honeywell TL8230A1003 - 40 to 86 (F) / 240 V - Digital Programmable
-
If my memory serves me correctly,
That unit has a pilot assembly with a 3 wire connection, it heats a bimetal switch and also houses the spark ignitoe and grounding rod.
The click click...

Read the faq
Supply more info model #
What fault code etc.
-
Read the faq
Find out the fault light status.
Best guess would be a dirty flame sencor or a faulty pressure switch.. again that's just a guess with the limited info

Need more info,
Read our faq first
Then post again

Open because you want the cooler
Air at floor level to get sucked into the system
And leave the warm air in the room
And close it for ac operation to suck the warm air off the ceiling
-
Something is not wired correctly or the fan switch on the t-stat is on
-
Read the faq it may guide you to a repair
Identify your furnace so you know what to look for.
Most newer units have a status light that may give insite to the fault
-
Start furthest from the boiler and a bleed port should be on each radiator, open it till no more air comes out then move to the next furthest, repete till all radiators have been bleed,

First thought is always a bad(overheating) motor
Is the motor getting hot?
The thermostat doesn't normally control the blower for heating.
If it is thermally activated your burner...
-
Your heat pump is not providing any heat.
Turn the t-stat to emergency heat to test your electric heat
Check filters
And then try the high limit reset button on the outdoor unit.
Heat...

Check your filter and check for air leaks

Double wides come in 2 halves, the furnace is in one side and a flexible crossover duct ids installed to the other side,
Sometimes these come apart sometimes animals get into these pipes...

Read our faq , and reply with more information please

I think this is an eyes on situation
With the limited info provided

Sounds like someone with technical knowledge needs to see this unit .
Tracing the circuits and sequencer can get tricky if your not familiar with these units .
What is your skill level?
-
Connect one line to one load and the other 2 wires to the transformer.this will complete a circuit to the heater threw the t-stat
Always use caution when working on electrical circuits
-
Well disconnect everything and try one circuit at a time.
Having no 24 volt will cause the fan to run so that is normal. Check the ohms on the gas control and the rest of that circuit.
-
That seems to be a good part number still , make sure your getting 24 volts to the control, as lower voltages will cause the relays to chatter and fail.
-
First verify the gas pressure is normal
And then that the valve is in the on position,
If those are OK then I would suspect the gas
Control to be at fault
-
Look for a red light flashing and a list of what the flashes mean, search our faq for this info
-
First off I would run the fan continuously, restrict the returns on the first floor to make the ones on the second pull the heat into the system, and open a few supply ducts in the basement.
...
-
The connection from "Y" to Rc is what you need to run the fan in cooling mode.
Connecting to the "G" terminal will enable the fan to run or not run by the fan switch only.
Watch the humidity...
-
Just my opinion, but I think the motor is overheating and the voltage drop is due to an increase in the amperage from the damaged winding.
Replace the motor and capacitor..
Note: the 3...

Is this a heat pump? Please give more info.

Sometimes water (condensation) collects in the tube to the pressure switch.
Look for a restricted tube to the pressure switch or a blockage in the flue.
Any downward looping of the tube will...

Hmm spark but no burner,, dirty pilot maybe
I believe on that model the pilot proves the flame.
So we need to follow the sequence of operation to where it stops .
See the faq that should...

Is the white wire by the black tape connected to 2 wire?
Power is off ? Right?
If so clip white wire off and securly wirenut those 2 wires together and with the remaining 2 black wires...

Clean the sensor every year , read the faq

Carrier I'm assuming,, #34 is a flame failure code as is the #14 flame failure lockout.
read the faq
Look for dirty burners, poor earth ground or a powered ground wire,
All these will...
-
Clean the flame sensor .since it's a flame failure warning
The pressure switch is OK.
Any connection is OK its just a switch.

On demand tells me no storage tank.
So it only runs when there is water running.
Normal operation in my opinion

Switch to emergency heat and call a different repairman.
Get the freon leak repaired and
Don't tell him your clueless.
This could get pricey, if the system is over 10 years old think...
-
Total electric? Is this a heat pump system?
If it is then cool air is normal,
If not the yes call a repairman and while he is there pick his brain on how your system works
-
Something got too hot and a safety shut it down,
Make and model of unit is needed,
-
Dissassemble the pilot assembly and clean it ,
The flame is yellow and lazy not touching the flame sencor,
Should be blue and strong
Or the flame sencor (the ground) is dirty.
Make...

Time to call the professionals

Roll out safety is probably OK see what is causing it to trip? Too much heat in the burner area?
Not enough combustion air? Lots to check... fix the problem, not just band aide it
-
Check the roll out switches and the draft safety, follow the wires from the gas control,
Also check that the gas is on .
-
Damper not opening when heat is called by the t-stat? Check the end switch on the damper for proper allignment.
This damper can be left braced open , and still have safe furnace operation
-
Possibly damaged the transformer,
Some control boards will run blower continuously when 24 volt power is dead
-
Did he remove the 2 wire pilot safety and jam a thermocouple into the old pilot assembly?
He may have had to turn up the pilot to make that old pilot assembly work.
Due to age of furnace ,I...
