I know that UV index is not the same thing as brightness but it often seems that the UV index is low when it's overcast and is high when it's clear and sunny.

I've heard that it has to do with air pressure. I've also heard that it's because mountains are isolated from most of Earth's land, which emits heat once the sun strikes it.

Hey I was wondering if there are meteorologists (people who study the weather; not the same thing as a weatherman) who do their work at home although it seems it would be difficult
