I'd try that Powerstrip program or a similar one then... other than that I don't know. Sorry.

Win XP has 2 sizes of icons... normal and large. You may be set on large although they shouldn't be that much bigger than normal even when set on large. I think normal is 32x32 and large is 48x48. ...

Have you tried booting up in safe mode and seeing if it works right? Maybe it's the video card drivers and not the monitor drivers? This is tough to figure out long distance... hopefully you're not...

Sometimes when you reinstall drivers Windows reverts back to 60 hertz refresh rate.. this can make the screen look wrong at some resolutions and is harder on the eyes than say changing it to 100...

I have that router and have it setup for emule. Go to the Port Range Forwarding section in setup. Give your PC a fixed address so the router won't assign a different one or otherwise the forwarding...

Check out your screen resolution and refresh rate settings in the display options in Windows.

You might try reinstalling any drivers for it.. I assume you're using some form Windows.

There are programs to give custom resolutions such as Powerstrip but if you're stuck at 640*480 by the monitor hardware I don't think anything is going to help.

It could be a bad capacitor. If you can *carefully* give the fan a little push start when it tries to kick on and the fan then works correctly a new capacitor would be in order. But you said you...

Well first let me say I am not a plumber and didn't mean to imply in any way that I am. Having said that... it seems like maybe your plumbing got "streamlined" to where it drains fast enough to...

I've cleared the flex drain line before by sticking the end of it in the end of a small shop vac and sealing around it with my hand while the vac does it's thing. Works pretty good... I've heard of...

Maybe store them in a bucket or bag with some of those dessicant (spelling?) packs? They sell them for gun cabinets, tackle boxes etc.

I avoid taping and mudding drywall like the plague but from watching people who do it it seems they usually do 3 coats on the seams and use a wider blade each time. And I think I heard someone say...
-
I'd put the 1 foot pieces on the bottom because I couldn't mud drywall to save my life and that way I can hide the extra seam with furniture hehe. Drywall is usually hung horizontal although I've...

Does your kitchen sink have a trap on it?

Not suggesting Jasv shares neutrals, just letting him know it's possible if done correctly. Shared neutrals are fairly common in commercial work because everything is labeled, there are prints and...
-
On clear looking wire the ribbed is the neutral... not sure how to explain clear looking wire though... it's kind of like speaker wire... two wires side by side coated together... flat... this...
-
You can share a neutral with 2 loads if the loads are connected to different poles. When connected this way the neutral will carry the difference between the loads.. not the sum of the loads. If...

As for smoke dectectors, I will be installing a few batt operated ones when I get it finished.
Battery operated ones are better than nothing but you really should install the hardwired ones. ...

I totally agree with Labman and Tkrussell about putting the major stuff such as the fridge on individual circuits in addition to the required 2*20 amp countertop circuits... if only everyone did that...

As was stated before there is no limit on the number of outlets in residential work but if it's commercial each outlet is figured as 180 VA... if I remember correctly... but don't quote me

From ceiling:
2 black
2 white
1 green
1 copper
Not sure about that green unless it's a grounding jumper to the light box.. anyway like Labman said there are different ways to wire up 3 way ...

I and pretty much everyone I ever worked with prefer Square D QO. I've used GE panels though and they aren't awful.. but I think some of them had copper covered aluminum not solid copper busses. ...

If the wiring is that old the ceiling box may be attached to a board "scabbed" across the joists. They make heavy duty replacements called saf-t-bar or something like that just in case you want to...
