Why do most city codes require a trench dam in gravity sewer line from house to the main sanitary sewer - what does this dam actually do?

It depends on the airlines policy - we are required to be on test flights after the airplane leaves heavy (c check) as an insurance policy for the flight crew and to diagnose any issues that may...

Is it really a good idea? I see people trying to "drive" on the highway who should not be authorized to operate a coffee maker, let alone a flying vehicle!

Speed of sound changes with air temp. - with air temp decrease, the speed of sound decreases. At higher altitudes the air density and pressure ratio is lowered, along with temp. so speed of sound...

I have to agree with Captain Rich - The thrust is not turning the wheels, but pushing the aircraft. It will not make a difference how fast the wheels are spinning at the start of takeoff, they will...

[QUOTE=Mylittlesunshyne]Stall: Happiness can be found in the DARKEST of times, as long as one only remembers to turn on the lights.
By the way, My Little Sunshine, that's a terrific phrase!

According to the FAA, a stall results when the critical AOA is exceeded.(A separation of airflow over the airfoil) An airplane can be stalled at ANY airspeed in any flight attitude.
I don't know...

The problem is not that the air is combustible, but the pressure increase inside the tire that blows the tire off the rim with explosive force, sending shrapnel from the 8 ply of steel belts inside...
-
Nitrogen is used in aircraft tires to reduce the expansion/contraction caused by extreme heat generated on landing and severe cold temp. at altitude.
-
That's right about the time when the airplane magically transforms into a large falling object.
-
Nitrogen will not expand as the tire heats up, which keeps air pressure even
-
No, its not an added spray for pax comfort, its just fog from the rapid change in air temp. that will occur as the air for cabin is drawn off the engines and ran through an expansion turbine in the...
-
Hmmm... I guess I should brush up on my basic physics... :(
-
Actually, yes it should be OK. Turbine engines are able to run for a small amount of time on avgas if its necessary, so the valve should be suitable for gasoline as well as jetA.
-
I'm not sure if gasoline may eat the seal, but try it - it should work.

work =30,000
power=100
to calculate the force used, you need the weight of the car, multiplied by the distance it was moved.
Divide that answer by the time it took to move, and we get how much...
