I'm not an expert, but I think that is a sign that the dog might have worms. Definitely take the dog to the vet.

I have searched far and wide. The only thermostats I find are rated 16amps. The heaters are drawing about 17amps.

So if the thermostat is resistive rated, it will last longer if I am using it for electric baseboard heat because the heaters are a resistive load?
