I'm willing to spill a bit more about myself than I did in answering Allheart's orig post. But is this really the place. I'll leave it up to Allheart, if she wants to so widen the topic...

    I always preferred 'ridgerunner.' <G>

No you are correct about that, we can't steal the thread, I don't like to do that at all either. And besides I respect Allheart way too much, she's one of the best in my book. Not too many like her around.

I'm sure we will bump into each other and we can take it from there maybe PM

    Night for now my friend...

EDIT: Ridgerunner... has many different meanings... "rum"?? kidding Ridge...

Stringer - You are such a sweetheart...

And no one ever never worry about sliding away from the topic and having a nice chat.

This is a loving, peaceful thread... meant for sharing :)

And if a friend is met as a result... how can that now make anyone smile :).

    Hope everyone is well.

I wouldn't say that I "no longer believe" (some here might but that's no concern of mine) I do believe that he died on the cross for our sins/salvation... but I must say that I never started "questioning" my own faith until a lengthy amount of time and discussions with coworkers.- One new lady in particular, who would let you know that she was the "best" Christian, the most knowledgeable on the subject and did not mind telling those who believed differently... that they were on a path straight to hell!

Now whether this is the natural course for those who "do not believe"... all depends on what YOU choose to believe. As time went by it just shocked me to see how terribly rude and vile this so called "Christian lady" was. Even if her idea was in "saving souls" I told her that I thought she was going about it the wrong way... I mean this lady seemed almost "jubilant/giddy" in telling others that believed differently or even those that proclaimed christianity in slightly different ways than her, that they were on a path directly to hell! I told her in my opinion that she should be with a heavy heart that these people do NOT have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and that they have not experienced what his love can do in their lives... and instead of damning them to hell she should be telling them what knowing about him can do! Uggh, this lady just frustrated me beyond belief!

As you can imagine, this turned many people away and off from her They didn't want to hear anything from or about Christians... even though I would try to defend her ideas to others, it just got to where I could no longer even think of defending some of her hypocrisy and beliefs! Then I started thinking is this what it's about, is this what people see or think of all christians and is this any way to act? It just got to where I didn't even want to be remotely associated to her... her beliefs... christianity or any of it! So she really had me questioning my own faith. (maybe I was weak to begin with, I just don't know. Either way, she just pushed me to the ledge and I jumped.)

I was in an odd place for awhile, lost, confused and searching for answers.(and still doing so) I started talking with many people of different and common beliefs, reading more on religious tolerance and the hundreds of different religions out there, I even took a world religions class! Lol! :) ((I'm really trying to get this but don't know how I got here.))

Anyway, to shorten this up, most of the time I feel I am right with my faith but not real clear with religion (If you can make any sense of that statement! ) I have the most problems concerning logic, especially throughout situations in the Bible, with the ways of the world and people, and the "organized religion" area. It's like my heart wants to believe but my head says "no way thats possible"... So I guess you could say I'm still not 100% and still searching and reading from all angles as I do believe.

Through all of this experience, I hope (and pray) that everyday leads me to becoming a better person, one who is more informed, tolerant and understanding of all people and their deeply personal choice in faith/religion, but yet rock solid enough in my own faith that there is no question or doubt about it in my mind! Living to spread the love and joy that I once knew by having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ our Saviour and what this can do to our lives! I want to feel that again and feel like shouting it from the rooftops but not cramming it down someone's throat... Is all of that even possible? I question even that, but I know that hopefully I will be stronger, one way or the other.

    That's All! :)

Thanks for your reply go-ask-mom. As you probably know, no human is perfect, and one of the qualities that God likes is to be humble. I don't think that the woman you described above is really the 'best christian'. Anyway, there is no place for comparison between our friends, sisters and brothers concerning your relatiuon with God. You should go your own way, as God has a different plan for each of us, but which converge towards Him. Keep faith in what you think is better for you, and don't listen too much that awful woman. I'm sure that AllHeart will soon be here answering you. And one more thing, I don't consider Christianism as a religion but as a relation with God.

Love and Peace be with you.

Unknown, you are so very right, with your words and advice.

Oh beautiful spirit Go ask Mom - From what I read, you have a beautiful spirit and DO have a relationship with God. You are doing all the things that God wants us to do.

Don't focus too much on that lady, who may be very lost herself. This may sound awful,
But sometimes, just sometimes, and this is only my belief, that there are some that have such a close and personal relationship with God, preach it everyday, and it's evil that goes after those people, clouds their minds, their judgements, and makes them behave, just as that lady at work, to do the job of the evil one, and turn others away from God, because I am right with you, that type of behaviour, is hyprocrital and doesn't not resemble God's love in any way... so follow that beautiful heart... and don't let anything or anyone turn you away, from what you know in your heart to be true. Pray for that lady and keep being the loving person you are... you are not as lost as you think.

    Bless you now and always.

Yes, well, Google : that provides the links to even the most absurd websites. It is a search engine using search words. It does not validate the links it provides...

    But Christianism a legitimate word??

Ok, I am sorry to hear so... many people with doubts... But that is all part of satans plan to win as many souls as possible. If you want to experience the awesome power of god. All you have to do is have faith and truly believe and what you ask of him if you have true faith you will get it. I ask you all to take the challenge and check out this website.

Very funny Cred, using my username!:p

Ok, joke aside, I don't know if that's legit or not, but I'm sure that most people will understand what I tried to say, especially if there's a board on 'christianism'.

Yeah, I did find the word. It has been used for many decades. The following is an image from a 1949 Webster's International Dictionary of the English Language. As such, Unknown008, I don't think that you were incorrect in your usage of the word Christianism. Also, I don't think that jocularity to someone who provides a correct answer here is appreciated except in the sense of kidding in some kind of way. As such, I am going to assume that you are kidding in the answer that you gave to Credendovidis about the answer that I gave about that word.

    Thanks!
