My ex broke up with me, yet he keeps calling?
We broke up about a month ago. Well, he broke up with me. I was devastated to say the least, and it was out of nowhere. I thought everything was perfect and our spark was picking up(We'd been dating for almost a year and a half).
I'm a complete hopeless romantic, and he's very logical. To be honest, we're almost complete opposites, but I liked that. He basically told me "we've both known from the start that we both have complete ideas on love. That's why. But we felt everything. It was real blah blah blah." (he thinks you can only truly love someone when you want to marry them, but you don't love someone at all while just dating in hs etc. Which is the weirdest thing to me)which I thought was crap but whatever. I just accepted his wanting to break up, even though I'm obviously not over it all. He keeps calling me, and told me he wants us to be "friends" and the other night he called "just to chill and talk". I'm tired of feeling like I'm being put on hold. WHY is he still calling if he says he doesn't like me anymore?

I was stuck with such a dude once, he didn't want to be in a relationship, he too broke up with me, but he still wanted to get all the emotional benefits of being in one. He too wanted to be 'just friends' with me, he wanted to know all that was going at my end...

Such guys are losers, just don't let them rule a relationship on their terms. Yes a break up hurts, but you will never be able to completely move on until you shut this guy out of your life. Tell him firmly you don't want to do anything with him.

    You deserve much better girl.

I feel your pain, my ex broke up with me and I was so good to her. She played the lets be friends game and when I saw how she was using me I hurt myself even more so move on and just shut him out of your life, NC. All he is doing is using you just like my ex used me but in the end you will come out on top and they will be on the outside looking in.

Nobody wants to be alone. Simple and straightfoward.

He likes you, but wants to be free and single to explore other options and opportunities. If you don't want to be just friends, don't take his calls. By talking to him the messege he gets is you are okay with doing it his way.
