Is it necessary to legally evict an adult child when there is no lease or rental agreement in place nor any exchange of money or payment of rent?

Im not sure if things differ from where I am from (England) and where you are from but definitely not. Once a child is 16 you have no responsibility to provide them with a home. Obviously parents do continue to offer their child a home longer because they want what's best for them but some times 'children' can take this for granted. X
I work in Children's Services and we deal with parents evicting their children on a daily basis. There is no contract between a mother and child and their obligation ends when a child hits school leaving age which is 16 nearly 17.
