My mom and dad are having a fight again about major issues. I really don't know what the issue is and I don't think my dad knows either, but my mom is threatening to leave the family again. She probably said that like every time she is mad at my dad, but never actually left before... this time it's totally different. I don't know what to do... :confused: :(

I know it can be a scary thought over your parents splitting up.

I use to feel the same way.

After a while though I came to accept it and said to myself that if they wanted to split up, that was THEIR choice.

In the end, they both will still love you, just not living together.

And while you would rather they live together, they might just be sick and tired of it.

Think about having to live with a person you cannot stand. After a while you might get tired of it.

So, if the split up, they will still both love you.

Try to focus on that.

I have tried almost everything to keep my mind off it and try to understand that their choice might be better for both of them and they might be happier, but the thought of them spitting is too hard for me. One parent wants to leave the country even and I don't think I can see the other side of my family again. I don't think we're even a family anymore.

My mom is leaving in a short while because she said she cannot stand my dad. They yell at each other a lot now and I don't want them to, I just want them to be happy. Isn't there anything I could do so my mom could be happier before she leaves? I'm scared her life would be even worse after she leaves. I want her to be happy. I don't even want her to leave even though I know it is the best way.

Hey, I understand what your are going through but there isn't really anything you can do to keep your parents together. If they stay together they are just going to be unhappy but if they go their separate ways things will get better, but they always get worse beofre they get better, talk to someone weather it be your paretns a teacher a friends paretns or someone just so someone knows how your feeling. But don't ever think its your fault for the split. Its hard to deal with but you just need to go on with your life and keep living it. Just be helpful and understnading through this tough time things will get better! I promis!
