    Business letter
    Hi there,

I am starting an import and export company and would like some advice on an introduction letter to companies. My key areas will be contracting with companies to sell their products in my country.

I will be grateful if you can help me with some good introduction letter.

    Kind regards,

    Francis

The most important point of an introduction letter is getting someone's attention. You want your letter to stand out of the stack of mail on that person's desk!

I wouldn't be afraid to use some type of (tasteful) gimmick to get their attention. Colored paper, graphics, some type of enclosure.

I've been taught that handwritten envelopes are still a great attention getter. It makes it feel more like personal mail.

Then, once you come up with a way to actually get them to look at your letter, you want to let them know what you can DO FOR THEM. It's all about them. Their needs, their profit, their business growing!
