    Low blood pressure and tattoo's
I am hoping someone will know the answer to this.

I have low blood pressure which is causing presyncope and syncope during and directly after walking, but not at any other time.

I am going to be getting a cover up tattoo in a few days and am unsure if I can with low blood pressure.

I do know that low blood sugar can cause issues during and after the tattoo process and it is not an issue with me.

I have no other health concerns and we are unsure of what is causing my symptoms, though thyroid, heart, etc have been ruled out.

I have been able to have blood work done with no issue, but bleeding does occur during a tattoo.

Does anyone know a definitive answer on this (on whether it is safe for me to get this done)?

    Thank you!

Anytime your body goes through any sort of stress, the heart will pump harder and faster resulting, usually, in an increased blood pressure. Syncopal episodes are caused by drop in BP, usually from getting up too quickly, however they can also be caused by other problems, such as ear infections, LOW BLOOD SUGAR, etc. If you are concerned and want to help prevent a BP drop, drink ample amounts of fluid prior to you tattoo session, during and after. And by all means if you do get dizzy (syncopal) then have someone drive you home. Good luck.
