    Hair Testing For Weed
Hello so I had a drug test performed on the 2nd of this month for a job. I've been reading through many of the post on here, but I am still uncertain as to whether I passed the test. I should hear about the results either today or tomorrow. I just really need some reassurance and advice right about now, so I'm going to talk about my previous experience with weed. The first time I ever tried it was in the month of June where the first time around, I took a couple of hits. The following day, I took a few more hits. And a few days after that a bit more hits. That was that, but then in October I took a couple of hits one day and then ate weed brownies another day. After that I stopped again, but on Dec 6th and 7th I took a couple of hits both days. That would be the last time I smoked. What would you consider me a infrequent smoker, occasional, etc? And what hope do you think I have of passing this test? And I don't know if it's worth mentioning, but I have been bleaching and dying my hair throughout all the time that I've been smoking. Any advice would be appreciated thanks!

You will probably pass the test. Though it will probably be a marginal pass. You might want to reconsider your pot habits if your job is going to be testing for it. Chances are the test will pick up what you did in October through December. Not enough for a big positive or to be considered Habitual, but occasional user.

I would expect a low enough detection level to pass but in the future knowing you may be tested for job purposes, abstinence is highly advised. Worth looking into the foods and products that can also produce detectable levels drug and or alcohol use (known as false positive result).

    • Prescription Medications such as antibiotics like ampicillin and amoxicillin are prime examples. Quite a few prescription pain medications should be of concern.
    • Over The Counter Medications such as night-time cold medications can cause a false positive test. This is particularly true of the liquid cold relievers as some contain members of the ephedrine family. Some common weight loss products are risky, as well as some nasal sprays and some over the counter asthma products.
    • Foods can sometimes cause a false positive test as proven by the poppy-seed bagel and poppy-seed cake.
    • Common Vitamins Supplements can cause a false positive test. Riboflavin (B2) can return a false positive test for THC. Many herbs that contain B vitamins should be of concern.
    • Diseases such as diabetes, liver disease, and kidney infections may register as opiates.

These are but a few examples, there are many.

A hair drug test is meant to show consistent use over time. A 1.5 inch sample, cut at the scalp line, will go back 90 days. With the limited use you had over the last three months I am fairly certain you should be able to pass a hair drug test. Bleaching and dying the hair only works on the outside of the hair whereas the drug is deposited on the inside of the hair so bleaching doesn't always work.

I'm in the same situation. But I took my test on the 22th of this month... Last time I smoked was new years and the month before that on Christmas, I only took a couple of hits each time. I just want to know would I pass or not? Please respond?

If that was all you smoked my best guess is that you should be negative on a hair drug test
