    Acceptable document type for Resume
    I suppose the title sums it up. I want to know what document type I should be sendind a resume as. Thank you.

    Please define what you mean by "document type". Nowadays most companies want resumes fairly plain with standard fonts. They also want them e-mailed so they can be run through software that places the info in a database.

    This is true, if you are sending resumes out blind and unsolicited. In that case, you can include your resume in the body of the e-mail as well as an attachment. But generally, PDFs are considered safe attachments and not blocked.

    Its not true, however, of e-mail addresses posted to respond to ads. Often the ad will specify what format to attach your resume in. Or they will specify, attachment or not.
