I want to convert .png images to editable ms word, can any one suggest me how to do it please

I am guessing you mean to take a png of a form and make it editable in msword? I don't think that is possible. It might be easier to recreate the png in word.

The only option I can thing of would be to use a scanner that has OCR software installed.

PNG files are image files and they don't contain editable text.

Could be a PNG image of text. :-)
