    Blood Test
I thought the cholesterol reading was on the CMP blood test which is $23.00
But it was lipid panel test which cost $63.00. Does that seem correct?

I don't know where you are. I don't pay for any medical of any sort, I am in Ontario Canada.

It has to be on the lipid panel for a complete reading. It is unfortunate it is so expensive, but completely necessary for health issues of the heart, blood pressure, etc.

I'm in the US. Cholesterol is part of the Lipid panel. Costs vary from plan to plan, state to state - AND year to year. If you are comparing to 2013, that might be the difference where you are. Expect whopping increases in 2015.

What else was on the whole test, do you know? For $63, they should have had about 2 pages of line items.
