    Gaining weight & muscle mass
I am 26 years old male. 6'2" and only 130 lbs. I work out 6 days a week for 2 hrs a day, all weight training and zero cardio. In addition, I drink protein shakes every day after working out. For the life of me, I cannot gain muscle mass no matter what I do. It seems I've tried everything, but nothing works. I have been skinny my whole life and have never been able to gain weight. Working out gets me cut, but I can't gain mass. I don't have a huge appetite and eat normal portion sizes at all meals. I try to eat very healthy and stick to mostly fish, fruits, breads, cheeses and chocolate (organic when possible). I even drink a decent amount of alcohol. What can I do to gain weight and increase my muscle mass so that I can stop being self-conscoius about my weight?

I was in your position about 8 months ago. I was a 21 year old male, weight 150 and was working out religiously! I couldn't gain an ounce of weight for the life of me. So what I did was take Tribulus, it's a testerone supplement that is sold at vitamin stores. I have seen my appetite rise, which increased my calorie count. I am now sitting at 184lbs and keep gaining mass. Trying focusing on exercising that increase mass, like lifting heavy weight for less reps.

First of all, if you are "cut" and eating as you say, then your weight is not a health concern. That being said, you should consider not putting on muscle mass just so that you will not be self conscious about your weight. Keep in mind that once you put it on, it will turn to flab in your old age if you don't maintain it. The more you have, the harder it is to maintain.

If however you decide that you want to put on some muscle for aesthetics (don't make weight gain your target, but it will be a side effect), then concentrate on weight lifting exercises as Romefalls suggests. These are exercises that build mass. Don't completely cut out aerobic exercise though because that's what will keep your heart in good shape to supply your new bulk. I advise against testosterone supplements, though I admit I have considered trying them myself. Feed yourself good portions of protein after exercising.
