2nd child as bad as they say?
    Hello,

I'm 6 weeks, almost 7 weeks pregnant with my second child.
When this baby is born they will be 2 years apart...
My daughter will be 2 years old.
Is having a 2nd child really as bad and as hard as they said?
I'm really excited to see how my daughter is going to be with the new baby!

I have never heard that the second child is bad or hard.

What do you believe will be hard about it?

More work because you have two?. Sure... but also more fun because you have two!

My first two are 22 months apart and it worked out well for me. The oldest was old enough to entertain herself for short periods. You can also read and look at books together, or watch and talk about a children's program if you watch TV, with your older child while feeding the baby. While the baby naps, you can spend some individual time with your older child. Since your daughter will only be two, she will still be taking a nap and you can usually get her and the baby to get at least one nap at the same time... which will free you up a bit.

A big bonus with having them close together, I found, was that I was still in "baby mode" when the next one came along so there was not a difficult transition... just kept on doing what I had already been doing.

    Enjoy!
